My story

Hi, I’m Ruth Frommer. I teach Feldenkrais and Aikido
I work with people who want to learn how to recover movement that has been impaired. I also help people who want to refine their movement, become more agile, stronger and resilient.
My aim is to give you the tools to make changes to how you move and feel. You discover how you can take better care of yourself and move toward doing the things that will enrich your life.
My movement challenges started when was I diagnosed with scoliosis. As a teenager I had 2 Harrington rods surgically placed along my spine. I grew 3cm, had pain and moved poorly.

Feldenkrais changed may life. I started to let go of protective patterns. To my surprise my back could bend, I felt great. I wanted more and soon was rolling round in Aikido.

What began as a personal quest became my career. I am passionate about Feldenkrais and Aikido, Two approaches that can make you move better, feel better and enjoy life more fully.

Feldenkrais became an integral part of my life and was a catalyst to study the martial art Aikido and NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming). Now as a Feldenkrais Assistant trainer, Black Belt 6th Dan and NLP Trainer, I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to study these arts in depth and experienced the positive change they have made to me and my life.

On completing my Feldenkrais training in 1991 I was inspired to share my embodied knowledge. I began transitioning from working as a traditional Occupational Therapist to creating my private Feldenkrais practice. I see people for private Feldenkrais sessions. I teach online Feldenkrais classes and Aikido at my dojo. I also teach at Feldenkrais Training Programs and conduct continuing education programs for Feldenkrais practitioners.
